Career Opportunities here at Cornerstone Home Care

Care Providers are frequently needed at Cornerstone Home Care. There are two types of care providers that we hire:

Direct Service Provider
  •     Description: The Direct Service Provider (DSP) is a non-professional employee, trained to provide personal care, habilitative care, respite, chore and related services in the home. Tasks may include assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and more.  Other related services may include dietary management, household services essential to maintain the client's health and well-being, and provision of and instruction in reporting signs, symptoms, and/or changes in the client's condition. The DSP shall coach/mentor clients in daily goals to assist in living independently. He/She functions under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the ILS Program Director and the Field Staff Supervisor.
Direct Service Providers may have a mix of clients and services that they provide for.  Direct Service Providers are scheduled by Cornerstone Home Care and training is provided by one of our Team Leaders or Field Staff Supervisor.

CDPCA Worker
  • Description: The Consumer Directed Personal Care Assistant (CDPCA) is a non-professional employee that provides personal care and related services for a Medicaid qualified Consumer in the Consumer's home. He/She functions under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Consumer, with the support of the ILS Director and are  required to meet the identified needs documented on the Plan of Care. Tasks may include assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting , cooking and more. Cornerstone Home Care acts as the fiscal payroll agent only.  
CDPCA Workers are hired at the request of the client who may be a friend or family member. The client and CDPCA work closely for scheduling and training.
For CDPCA Workers, there is a different application. Please remember to include the name of the client that you will be working with.

We are also hiring for the following office position for our Juneau office:

 HR Coordinator / Receptionist

  • The Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies and other duties. Deals with a diverse group of callers and visitors as well as internal contacts on all levels of the organization.
  • HR Coordinator duties to include monitoring all staff credentials are up to date and overseeing employee benefits.  Hire paperwork for new employees and plans necessary training for staff.   This position requires the employee to attend Job Fairs and other community functions for employment recruiting.

Requirements for all applications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass State and Federal Background Check (fees may apply)
- Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid
- Negative TB test results (for HR Coordinator / Receptionist, Direct Service Providers or by client request for CDPCA workers)
-Orientation and other In-service trainings
- If driving: current driver's license and current auto insurance
- Driving Record (for Direct Service Providers and HR Coordinator)
